Drying your flowers with Silica Gel is the best way to help keep your blooms looking vibrant and lifelike even after drying. It’s ideal for preserving roses, peonies, hydrangeas, bouquets, and other sentimental flowers for keepsakes, home décor, or crafts.

Preserve Fresh Flowers with Silica Gel
Silica Gel is a desiccant (a.k.a. drying agent) that dries out the flowers while maintaining their bright colour and structure.
Here's How It Works

Step 1:
Prepare a base layer of Silica Gel, about 1-2cm thick

Step 2:
Place your flowers onto the Silica Gel layer. (Optional: Consider cutting off the flower stems to fit more flowers inside)

Step 3:
Add another layer of Silica Gel on top of your flowers, and repeat as necessary.

Step 4:
Wait for 5-7 days, or when the Silica Gel beads to change from blue to pink. This indicates that the beads have absorbed moisture from the flowers

Step 5:
Carefully pour the excess Silica Gel into another container, picking out your dried flowers in the process

Step 6:
Use your dried flowers for any DIY project! To make them into coasters, consider using our Bouquet Preservation DIY Kit
DO NOT air-dry your flowers❌
Air-drying your flowers guarantees that they’ll turn into a sad, brown shade – especially because of exposure to our humid environment! Colours fade very quickly, but drying flowers with Silica Gel retains its colours.
Colour-Changing Beads indicate if your flowers are ready
Preserving your flowers is easier than you think!
All you need is Silica Gel, your flowers, and some time & patience. Plus, this Silica Gel changes colour (from blue to pink) so you know when your flowers are dried and ready to be removed!
